Filoni On Thrilling Ahsoka Writing Process

Today we are sharing the latest Barside Buzz which claim to detail Ahsoka plot SPOILER rumors regarding Thrawn.

In an Empire Online article published today, the trade talks with Dave Filoni on thrilling Ahsoka writing process he is currently working on. Dave Filoni helped create Ahsoka Tano for The Clone Wars and now that character has made the jump to live-action in Rosario Dawson. However Ahsoka will be a show featuring Dawson in a lead role and continue Ahsoka’s own story. Ahsoka is set to begin filming in March of 2022 in LA.

“It’s thrilling, I gotta tell you,” he Filoni of the scripting process. “It’s something you imagine doing for a long time. And then it’s kind of startling when you’re sitting there, and now you have to do it.” As you’d imagine, the show is offering him the chance to tell an Ahsoka story he’s always wanted to tell – with some new additions. “I thought of this adventure for Ahsoka for a long time, and it’s interesting to see how it’s evolved,” he says. “Years ago, I never would have imagined that it was sprung from a branch of a tree that had anything to do with a guy [like] Din Djarin, or a child that looks like Yoda. It’s a great lesson for me on how, when you have other creatives like Jon Favreau, they can help lend such dimension and depth to what you’re doing.”

It is expected that Ahsoka will continue on from the Rebels epilogue. In that epilogue we see Ahsoka head off with Sabine Wren to find out what happened to Ezra Bridger. Of course, in The Mandalorian Season 2 Ahsoka was already looking for Thrawn, and Ezra was last seen with Thrawn in the Rebels finale. It is not known whether Ezra and Thrawn will be major parts of Ahsoka or characters that appear only towards the end? LRM did report that both Mena Massoud and Lars Mikkelsen have been cast as the live-action version of these characters.
