Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay may be the next DC Animated film, set to be released April 10, 2018 on Ultra HD Blur-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD, with a March 27, 2018 Digital HD release. Yet, we’ve just been given our first look at the next DC Animated film after that, The Death of Superman.

Though Warner Bros. has not yet released a trailer or announced the cast, creative team, or even the release date for The Death of Superman, we do have our first image from the film, courtesy of The World’s Finest.

This all looks, very New 52. As it should, as The Death of Superman is the first of a two movie adaptations of the New 52’s Death of Superman saga. It will be followed by The Reign of the Superman sometime in early 2019.

The image also alludes to the fact that the a preview for The Death of Superman will be included with all Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay releases, as the image was taken from iTunes.

DC has been really touch and go with their recent animated films, delivering their best film, Justice League Dark, and one of their worst films, a cringe-worthy adaptation of The Killing Joke, in the last several years. Only time will tell which camp The Death of Superman will fall into.
