First Look At MODOK On Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Merch

Quantumania Director Says The Movie Will Change The MCU

We’ve known for some time that MODOK makes his MCU debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However now we have a first look at MODOK and the design used for the film through some movie merchandise. The image below is of a T-shirt which will be available to coincide with the movie. Far as I can tell this is official and matches the design leakers have described. Plus, the fans that saw MODOK briefly at SDCC when some footage was shown to the crowds. Check it out.

I really like it. I can glance at that image and immediately say, ‘that’s MODOK’, so it’s not a radical redesign. However there’s also some elements there that you feel link into who this character used to be. If you know, you know. If you don’t, well, I want to avoid potential SPOILERS around this MODOK’s origin.

In terms of what we know semi-officially about Quantumania, MODOK appears to be located in the Quantum Realm alongside a whole civilization. Bill Murray’s character and his people are there, as is main antagonist of the movie, Kang. The shrinking gang head into the QR, we think to save Cassie, who looked to have been pulled in during the SDCC footage shown to crowds. I guess the problem will be getting Cassie and getting back out given the threat Kang poses, alongside other characters like MODOK.

Will MODOK be villainous, will he become a villain? We have no real clue on that one for now, unless you get right into claimed plot leaks, which I tend not to.

When descriptions came out for MODOK pre-SDCC there were a lot fans moaning about how the character was ruined. I mean, you seem to get that with every character in every project these days from some. However, once fans themselves saw MODOK at SDCC, those in attendance really changed the online fans minds. Frankly, now we can all see the design of MODOK, I feel it shows even more how silly some fans were to react the way they did to a description. However I guess that’s the world we are living in right now. Content creators striving to be the angriest most negative person online because it currently attracts a crowd.

What did you think of the first look at MODOK from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Thoughts below as always.
