First Look At Thanos For Avengers: Endgame

Last year’s Avengers: Infinity War brought us one of the best cinematic villains in history, Thanos. The Mad Titan, a name from the comic books, had a mission to save the universe by deleting half of all life in it. Yeah… odd, but what an amazing trip. At the end of that movie, we’re left with a decimated Earth, shattered Avengers and Guardians, and Thanos on a farm somewhere in the cosmos. Next month Avengers: Endgame will finish the story that started in 2008 with Iron Man and will leave us with a radically changed Marvel Cinematic Universe. How different will it be? What will it take to undo Thanos’ snap? Who will deliver the final blow? I can’t wait to find out!

In the meantime, do you wonder how will Thanos look in this new movie? Well, be curious no more!

Thanks to Empire and Josh Brolin, Thanos himself, we have our first official look! There’s not a lot different between this look and the look he had at the start of Infinity War, but the gauntlet is interesting in this photo. If you remember, the gauntlet looked a little rough after Thanos used it to wipe out half of the universe, but this photo shows no damage to the shiny left glove.

What does that mean? More than likely it’s just promo art of a pristine Thanos with no hidden meaning for the story, but it could also be another sign for time travel. He does look awfully angry in this picture, but if I had just sacrificed my daughter, committed mass genocide, and got stabbed in the chest only to have a plucky group of heroes come to undo my hard work I think I’d be angry too.

Empire also gave us a cover with the original six Avengers and a painting of Thanos overlooking his pretty green farmland.

What do you think of the covers? Do you think there’s any hidden meaning in them? Let us know in the comments below!
