Who are the four actors who play Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Well of course we know the main one which is Hayden Christensen. It was LRM who first revealed that Christensen was in talks and then later signed on to appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi. However we’ve also known Christensen was back officially for ages. But does Hayden play Vader throughout the series? The folks at MSW say no and that the role was shared by two other actors.

According to the outlet Christensen plays Vader in all Bacta tank, or helmet off scenes and also in flashbacks to his time as Anakin Skywalker. This all lines pretty much with what we thought would happen and the flashbacks were something we’ve said we’ve heard before a number of times on The Cantina. However MSW also says that of all scenes of Vader in suit with helmet on, acting duties were undertaken by Dmitrious Bistrevsky a stunt performer from The Mandalorian. However, they also needed someone who had the fighting skills to be able to take on a Lightsaber battle. MSW says that job went to Tom O’Connell who is skilled presumably in sword choreography.

It also stands to reason that James Earl Jones would provide Vader’s voice in the show. There’s been no official confirmation of Jones. However, this has always been the rumor and it’s also what MSW thinks is the case. So Darth Vader, as he always was, will be a combination of four actors within Obi-Wan Kenobi. As always with any rumors this should be handled with a dose of salt nearby. However, I have a feeling this is genuine and there was no way Hayden was doing all the work inside that suit when it’s simply not needed. Unless he removes the helmet of course.

We know that Darth Vader and Obi-Wan will have a rematch in Obi-Wan Kenobi. We also know that this rematch will not be conclusive. After all, the pair do fight a third time within the original Star Wars movie.
