Game Of Thrones: The Series Will Soon Celebrate Its Tenth Anniversary

It’s hard to believe that Game of Thrones will soon be celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The show became a worldwide phenomenon and is thought by many to be the best television show ever (despite Season 8). To celebrate the show’s birthday, HBO  has put together a video showing some of the most memorable scenes through the series’ eight-season run. You can check the video out below.

I still don’t understand why Benioff and Weiss cut themselves short with the episodes. I know they had been working on the series years before it premiered and it’s possible they were burnt out. They had also just signed on to bring fans a new Star Wars trilogy so that may have been a factor in their rush to finish Game of Thrones.

However, they should have done what was needed to finish strong and been remembered for a true television masterpiece, instead of what many fans see as ruining a once-great series. Not to worry though as filming on the prequel spin-off House of the Dragon will begin this month. And from all I’ve seen, heard, and read, I am excited about the Targaryen-focused series. House of the Dragon is just one of a few spin-offs on the way.
