Green Lantern Series Rumored To Have $100M Budget

HBO Max is having one heck of a time so far. Between shows like South Park and The Big Bang Theory, they’re working hard to make sure it becomes an essential part of the average media consumer’s diet. But, of course, given that the service is owned by WarnerMedia, you knew they couldn’t not have some major DC-related projects in the works.

As we reported yesterday, Greg Berlanti is developing two projects in the form of Strange Adventures and Green Lantern, making some wonder what the production value will be. After all, Disney is taking pains to ensure their own comic properties have sizable feature-like budgets.

Now, YouTuber Grace Randolph took to Twitter to share that she heard that Green Lantern would be having a $100 million budget. Of course, we don’t know how many episodes a season will be, but given the current trend on streaming, I’d say anywhere from eight to 13 episodes is a good guess. Spread between all the episodes, and it’ll certainly have a higher budget than their CW counterparts.

What do you think of this rumor, and given the large amount of CG that will inevitably be required, is $100 million enough? Sound off down below!
