Guardians 3 casts Crazy Rich Asians Nico Santos in an undisclosed role as reported by Deadline. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has already wrapped production, but it’s only now we are starting to hear about some casting for the upcoming movie. Here is what the trade had to say, which to be fair isn’t much.
Crazy Rich Asians and Superstore actor Nico Santos is the latest name we can reveal to be in Marvel’s recently wrapped Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
We think we have a rough idea of where Guardians 3 is going? Chukwudi Iwuji is playing the High Evolutionary, (note, I mistakenly typed in Inquisitor there, watching too much Kenobi). It also looks as though there is an Earth-like planet populated by various animal/human hybrids. One could then assume that Santos could be playing one of the denizens of this planet? That’s about as far as we can go speculation wise for now.

Filipino-American actor Santos is best known for playing Oliver T’sien in Crazy Rich Asians. Santos also plays sales associate Mateo Liwanag in the NBC series Superstore, for which he was nominated for back-to-back Critics’ Choice Awards.
There really is not much else I can say. I have as yet not seen either Crazy Rich Asians, nor Superstore. Therefore I can’t get excited about this piece of casting. Though I am definitely hearing excitement from fans of both who think he will be great.
