After a previous story about working with the old Guardians crew again, James Gunn clarifies to a fan and talks about the casting process for the new DCU that they will follow. I the related section below you’ll see that Gunn had stated he hoped to work with all his Guardians cast again within his new job in the DCU. However one fan pleaded with Gunn to not go down this route and use new actors. I guess, for reasons?
Gunn responded politely to the fan.
We have hundreds of roles to cast. As I’ve always done, some will be brand new faces, some will be actors I’ve worked with before, & some will be actors you know who I’ve never worked with. What matters most is the actor fits the role & they’re easy to work with. https://t.co/akXKoj70AS

We still await a glimpse at what this new DCU will look like and Gunn has once again reiterated we will get some information before the end of this month. Which means sometime this week I would assume?

One movie we do expect to hear more about is the Superman movie Gunn is writing, given that’s the only project we know must be pushing head since it comes from Gunn himself. Most rumors right now seem to be simply guess work, so until we get that announcement all we can do is react to Gunn’s social media posts.
Hopefully we should have some official DCU information by this time next week.

There’s a been a bit of clickbait around this statement highlighting the part where Gunn says ‘they’re easy to work with’. I think the idea is to try and suggest Gunn is suggesting previous actors from the DCEU might not have been easy to work with. As you can see, that would be taking this comment way out of context, thus, clickbait.
Personally I look forward to see what comes next, or first in this new DCU. As always we will judge the final product once we get to actually see something on screen.
