Jason Blum “Stirring” Up Some Happy Death Day 3 Buzz

Who knew a time loop movie trope could work so well outside of 1993 Groundhog Day? Happy Death Day came out in 2017 and many people loved it as well as the sequel, Happy Death Day 2U. The ending set up for a Happy Death Day 3 and fans have been asking about it. A few days ago, Jason Blum, from Blumhouse Productions, offered fans to ask questions on Twitter and someone asked about a Happy Death Day 3. Here’s his response:

I Would Love Thirds, Please

Happy Death Day synopsis:

Tree Gelbman is a blissfully self-centered collegian who wakes up on her birthday in the bed of a student named Carter. As the morning goes on, Tree gets the eerie feeling that she’s experienced the events of this day before. When a masked killer suddenly takes her life in a brutal attack, she once again magically wakes up in Carter’s dorm room unharmed. Now, the frightened young woman must relive the same day over and over until she figures out who murdered her.

I love both Happy Death Day movies. They are great comedy slashers and I would love to see a third. Jessica Rothe was great as the badass, Tree Gelbman, and I love the humor as well as the twists and turns. The sequel added some sci-fi to the story and a hard choice for Tree. A little more serious, but was still really funny.

I would love to see Rothe, Isreal Broussard, and Rhi Vu reprise their roles. I also hope Christopher Landon can direct again. He did a great job with the first two.
