Zack Snyder has released so many images and answered so many questions about his now-famous Justice League that I think it needs to be released in some way or form so we can put this to bed. We have seen images of various characters that were supposed to make appearances. Two key instances include Martian Manhunter and the big bad Darkseid. This week is no different, as Snyder has released another image via his VERO account. This time it’s a new image of Ryan Choi, who is another version of Atom. In this photo, we see him as a scientist at STAR LABS. You can check it out below!
This is not the first time that we have heard of Ryan Choi being a part of Snyder’s version of Justice League, nor is it the first image of him specifically that we have seen. The other image was of him while he was working with Silas Stone in the film, to which a fan asked Snyder about the character’s identity. He answered that it was Ryan Choi.
If you have been following the Arrowverse on The CW you are probably familiar with Ray Palmer’s version of Atom, who is played by Brandon Routh. But in the massive crossover that just concluded last week, Crisis on Infinite Earths, we saw the introduction of Ryan Choi to the Arrowverse, who is played by Osric Chau.
In DC comics, Ryan Choi is actually the fourth person to take on the role of Atom. As a prodigy of his nation of Hong Kong, he was a student of Ray Palmer at Ivy University, who took the mantle of Atom in the absence of his mentor. He first appeared in the pages of DC Comics’ Brave New World #1 back in August of 2006. He was created by the creative team of Gail Simone, John Byrne, and Grant Morrison.
