It’s no secret that the Inhumans series on ABC is less than optimal. From the first trailer, it was clear that the budget wasn’t really up to snuff, and that the script was likely rushed beyond all belief. Now, we know for a fact that ABC rushed the series out in order to make the gap in IMAX’s schedule.

However, now we have the problem that Inhumans is all a part of the Marvel TV continuity. What makes this all the more tragic is that the property started off as a film on Marvel Studios’ slate when Phase 3 was first announced.

Uproxx had a chance to ask Kevin Feige if he looked at the TV show and was happy they didn’t do it, or looked at it and wished they could have knocked it out of the park. Feige’s response is…quite telling…

“[Laughs] You’re breaking up, Mike. I can’t hear you. You’re breaking up…”

Looks like Feige is wisely pleading the Fifth on this one.

Indeed it’s a shame that the property wasn’t given the time or attention it deserved. That being said, it’s probably a good thing that Marvel Television learned their lesson about rushing out a product like this. Just because it bears the ever-reliable Marvel symbol doesn’t mean people will flock to it unquestionably.
