Kevin Feige Says The Best Stories Have Definitive Endings, And So Will Avengers 4

Avengers: Infinity War didn’t have the usual happy ending, as Thanos completed his mission of erasing half of all life in the universe. While we still don’t know much at all about next year’s still untitled Avengers 4, Marvel mastermind, Kevin Feige, recently spoke with The Toronto Sun and said that the film will have

“But, storylines can come to an end. The best stories do come to an end. Return of the Jedi was an ending for a long time and as a 10-year-old in 1983 that carried me through 30 years until there was a sequel. That hasn’t happened before in the superhero genre. A new actor comes in and a new storyline starts right away. We wanted to do it this way because we think that the best stories have a definitive ending to a storyline. That’s certainly what’s going to happen next year with Avengers 4.”

The film will likely bring an end to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we fans have come to know it, but that’s ok cause as Feige said, the good stories have to have a good ending.

I’ve read a theory that at the end of the film, the Infinity Stones will be split up by the surviving Avengers, with Captain America using the time stone to return to his own era to be with Peggy Carter. Ant-Man gives the reality stone to Scarlet Witch who uses it to bring back The Vision, and Bruce Banner using the mind stone to separate himself from Hulk. These ideas all seem plausible, the one that struck me as highly unlikely is Tony Stark crushing up the power stone and snorting it. As I mentioned, this is a theory I read on Reddit, so grain of salt and all that.
