The Disney/Fox deal is now complete. Among other franchises, the Fantastic Four and X-Men have been reunited with their estranged Marvel family, and while us nerds anxiously await their addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, no one may be more excited than Marvel studio head Kevin Feige.
Feige has been the mastermind of the MCU for over a decade now, and is extremely happy to have access to these characters. Feige recently spoke with Variety and talked about what it’s like to have all the Marvel family back under the House of Mouse.
“The specifics of what it means remains to be seen, but overall it’s wonderful and it feels like these characters have come home. It will be nice to have what every other [intellectual property] holder that I can think of has, which is access to all their IP. Imagine if Donald Duck was at another studio. Imagine if Goofy or Moana were someplace else and you didn’t have access to them even though they are yours.”

The lack of access to X-Men and Fantastic Four shaped the MCU as we know it today.
