In this writer’s opinion, in all of M. Knight Shyamalan’s body of work, it is Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, that stands out the most. While The Sixth Sense and Signs are worthy of their status, it is Unbreakable that should be credited with the resurgence and unique approach to the superhero film. A gritty, realistic portrayal of a man who assumes an enhanced ability. Not a number of enhanced abilities, but one that makes him standout and make an impact. An ability that helps him in stopping a violent threat, and introduces him to his antagonistic counterpart.
In 2016, Shyamalan’s Split was released and Unbreakable fans were delighted to see that the story was continuing on. Since it’s release, it had been announced that Shyamalan was working on another Unbreakable-linked film titled Glass, centering on Jackson’s antagonist from the first film. This July, it seems fans will be getting much more information.
On his Twitter account, Shyamalan revealed that he would be attending San Diego Comic Con this year to promote Glass.
I’m so excited to tell you that @GlassMovie will be at #ComicCon. I will be in Hall H on July 20th with the cast! You can expect a surprise as well…

“You can expect a surprise as well…”
One can only imagine what Shyamalan means by this. Still images from the set of Glass? Actual teaser footage? An official trailer for the film? Fans will have to wait until July 20th to see what he has in store.
Glass is slated for release January 18th, 2019.
