The Super Bowl has come and gone, and just as we were told, there was not a trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX. I still had a small sliver of hope that we would be surprised by one,but of course that didn’t happens. So here we are, roughly 11 months away from the film that will close out the Skywalker Saga and we still don’t have a title for the film.

Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, loves to tease us fans of the franchise, and with the Super Bowl not having any Star Wars content, he took the oppounity to pour salt in our wounds. You can check out what he had to say below.

“Disappointed there was no Star Wars trailer shown during the Super Bowl? Agonizing over how long you’ll have to wait until they drop the title? RELAX nerds! Futurama predicted it years ago & we all know: Cartoons. Never. Lie. EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS: Episode X Yoda’s Bar Mitzvah.”

Hamill is of course referring to the Futurama episode where the title of the film can be seen in the background, and it actually is called “Yoda’s Bar Mitzvah”. The older sibling of Futurama, The Simpsons, has made a number of inadvertant prediction over the years, but let’s hope that Futurama doesn’t follow suit with this one. Some of the better suggestions I’ve heard are, “Son of Darkness”, “One with the Force”, and, “The New Order”.
