Fans of Dexter can keep their hopes alive that they will one day see the character back on the screen. The show’s ending was generally not well liked by the show’s fanbase. Since the show ended in 2013, rumors of bringing the show back have made their way around the movie news world from time to time, but nothing has ever came to fruition.

Actor Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter for eight seasons recently spoke with The Daily Beast and was of course asked his thoughts on possibly reviving the series, and from what he said it sounds like he believes there is more to the story of Dexter Morgan. You can check out what he had to say below.

“There have been different possibilities that have come up. They haven’t felt worth doing. But there’s still something potentially there.”

I also think there is more to the story, while I finished the show, for me the seventh season is where it started to fall off. The last two seasons simply weren’t as fun to watch. Dexter moving to the Northwest to be a lumberjack was just weird, and left me confused. No character on TV has ever been more deserving of being killed at the end of the show than Dexter Morgan. After finally being caught, Dexter should have been executed at the end of the series, with all of his victims sitting in the viewing room looking on. Yes, poetry for sociopaths.
