Morrison Says Fett’s Return Will Depend On Reaction

Mando S3 writers revealed and Boba Fett has been spotted in the new trailer

Temuera Morrison says Fett’s return will depend on reaction of fans. As far as LRM were led to believe, there was serious plans to have a Boba Fett spin-off show. However, we have also heard more recently that a Boba Fett mini-series was now set to begin filming soon. I would therefore say, if Morrison was told Fett’s return will depend on reaction, that Fett mini-series is a good as sold.

I honestly have seen hardly any negative comments about Morrison’s return as Fett online. All I am seeing is praise for Lucasfilm finally making Fett worthy of his reputation. If Lucasfilm were therefore waiting to judge how fans reacted to Fett’s return, surely they must be happy?

Morrison, who could simply be playing coy, was asked by NY Times whether he will return as Fett again?

“I’m just going to have to wait and see. I think a lot of it depends on how things go with this season, but I don’t really know. I wanted to bring everything I had to that [episode] and give them a glimmer of what I can offer. There’s room for this to go someplace. I hope I’m going to be included.”

Sounds to me like plans for Fett’s future had been discussed, but were dependent on whether The Mandalorian Season 2 was a success. I think at this point given the media coverage, social media coverage and general pop-culture standing, Mando Season 2 is a hit. Could that have been what prompted Lucasfilm to press go as it were on that Fett mini-series? Either way, given Morrison’s desire and how popular Fett is, he will be back.

How will things end between Fett and Mando in Season 2? Will the Fett mini-series be there to introduce Fett as an ongoing player in The Mandalorian? All good questions we as yet have no answer to.
