Check out some of there new character posters for The Wheel of Time Season 2. There are in total 7 character posters, all showing pairs of characters. It would be fair to make an assumption that these characters will spend a lot of time together in Season 2. For most of these shown below, it makes a lot of sense based on my knowledge of the books. Though there is one that has created a bit of concern from fans.

Let me walk you through these pairings.
Liandrin and Nynaeve will definitely be spending time together in The White Tower as the latter trains to become an Aes Sedai. Moiraine and Lan I think needs little explanation if you watched Season 1. The new girl you see with Egwene is Elayne, the heir to the Throne of Andor. Elayne, like Egwene and Nynaeve is starting her training in The White Tower. However, unlike Nynaeve, both Egwene and Elayne are starting from the lowest rank, bonding the two of them.
The one causing a bit of angst is the next poster showing Perrin and a new character who we can name as Aviendha. Aviendha’s story is not one I’ll spoil. However, in truth she doesn’t become a prominent character in the novels until book 4, which is Season 3. However Perrin does spend time with other Aiel in books 2 and 3, just not Aviendha herself. Fans are slightly worried that we won’t be getting Bain, Chiad and Gaul. I can’t honestly say I’m that surprised given that Season 2 needs to cover almost 2 full novels worth of content. I guess I will have to wait and see how it plays out though?

We then have Rand and a new character called Selene he will meet in Season 2. Better not say too much about that dynamic just yet. Then it’s Matt and Min, with Matt being played by new actor from Season 2 onward Donal Flynn. I’m guessing perhaps that Min and Matt’s time in the same place might get expanded a little for the show. However, who knows? Finally, we have the character we can now call Ishamael and someone I presume is Suroth of the Seanchan Empire. I don’t recall much interaction between Ishy and Suroth in the books directly, but we can see from the trailers that will be the case in Season 2.
