New Trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s Introduce The Animatronics on a Murder Spree

Five Nights at Freddy's

There is always something freaky about animatronics. From the singing Country Bear Jamboree to the Chuck E. Cheese band, our imaginations can run wild of these robots when the lights are off. Then, the video game series created by Scott Cawthon in 2014 set the fears into our heads that led to the upcoming adapted film Five Nights at Freddy’s.

The film stars Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1) with Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes) and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream).

Here is the description of the Five Nights at Freddy’s:

The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fabear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

Although it’s based on the top-rated horror video game series, it’s not the first time murderous animatronics were brought onto the screen. In recent years, The Banana Splits Movie and Willy’s Wonderland gained plenty of traction amongst the horror community and became cult classics themselves. So, Five Nights at Freddy’s must rise to the challenge because the bar is high.

Fans should be optimistic because the screenplay is written by Cawthon (the video game creator), Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback. Tammi is at the helm and is behind the spooky western The Wind. Plus, with producers from Blumhouse, they no doubt wouldn’t gamble on a B-rated horror flick.

Friday Nights at Freddy’s is in select theaters and streams on Peacock on October 27.
