Nic Cage, Martial Arts, and Science-Fiction, Sound Good? Check Out The Trailer For Jiu Jitsu

In any other year, the film Jiu Jitsu, in which Nicolas Cage stars as a a member of an ancient martial arts order that has to save the Earth every six years from an evil version of the artificial intelligence from The Orville might seem sort of weird. However, this year it’s par for the course.

Ok, it’s weird even for 2020. But come on, a sword-wielding Nic Cage protecting Earth from an alien warrior? How could you not want to watch out of pure morbid curiosity, if nothing else? Along with Cage, actor Tony Jaa appears, who you may remember from the Ong-Bak films (the first film was awesome, never watched the sequels), as well as Frank Grillo.

You can check out the trailer for Jiu Jitsu below.

Yeah, I’m going to have to check this out, it has that sort of Nicolas Cage weirdness that I find entertaining. Cage has more out-of-the-box projects on the way. In one such project, Cage will play Joe Exotic, better known as the Tiger King from the Netflix series of the same name.

Perhaps most interesting of all is the film where Cage will take on the role of himself. Yep, if you haven’t heard Nicolas Cage is set to play Nicolas Cage in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. A super-meta film that also involves a drug kingpin and a casting in a fictional Tarantino film. Pedro Pascal and Tiffany Haddish will also appear in the film.
