Peacemaker Season 2 is now filming and surprisingly James Gunn is directing first. We know Gunn would be directing some, but not all episodes of Season 2. However, it is surprising he begins, because Gunn is also well into directing Superman. There must have been a scheduled break in filming for Superman as star David Corenswet was seen filming an advertisement over the weekend. So it is James Gunn who kicks off production on Season 2 and he says on Threads that he will be joined by three other directors, currently unnamed.

In this Post, Gunn announced day 1 of S2 of Peacemaker with an image of the back of Peacemaker’s helmet.

Then when asked by a fan how he was shooting this and Superman? Gunn replied twice.

First to say this was a pre-shoot as it’s a Saturday. However, he then said this afterwards.

“I’ll be directing some of the episodes (I’m directing today). But there are three other great directors joining me for the season.”

It will be interesting to see who Gunn has hired to direct episodes of Season 2? Must be difficult for him to relinquish control of his own baby. Such is the price to pay for getting these projects out in a timely manner as the co-boss of the DCU. Perhaps he is using director friends he has worked with before? Who knows? I guess we will find out when Gunn decides to make that public.

We know Peacemaker Season 2 will not release until after Superman has hit theatres in July of next year. So could we be looking at a late Summer/Fall debut for Peacemaker Season 2 on Max?
