Playable Demo For Resident Evil 3: Raccoon City Out This Week

My favorite game from the Resident Evil franchise is 1999’s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for PlayStation. The game focuses on officer Jill Valentine, who returns to her home of Raccoon City. Upon her arrival she finds that it has fallen to an undead apocalypse. To make matters worse, Zombies were not her biggest problem. There was a genetically-enhanced monster known as the Nemesis following her throughout the city.

Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 3 less than a month away. But it looks like gamers will be able to check out the game this week. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 3: Raccoon City Demo, will be available on March 19th for Xbox One at 12 a.m. ET and for Playstation 4 and PC at 1 p.m. ET later that day.

In this demo gamers will be able to play through a game mode where they have to search and destroy twenty Mr. Charlie statues that are found throughout Raccoon City. The catch is that during this time you will be hunted by Nemesis.

Also Capcom will be releasing an open beta for the multiplayer mode called, Resident Evil: Resistance beginning on March 27th. This mode will be a lot of fun as one of the players will play as the Mastermind who develops traps and hazards to try and stop the rest of the players escape attempt. The beta will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 starting at 3 a.m. on that day and for PC at 1 p.m. and it will run until the day of the release of the game.

This was the first of the Resident Evil games that I ever played and I remember it blowing my mind as I could walk past sections several times only to be surprised by a zombie later. Also Nemesis breaking through walls with a rocket launcher was always a heart stopping surprise.
