Red Hood’s Costume Design For HBO Max’s Titans Revealed

One of the big reveals from the HBO Max’s Titans panel at DC FanDome last August was the announcement of the arrival of the Red Hood. He will be portrayed by Curran Walters who has already played Jason Todd for the first two seasons of the series. Yesterday, along with getting the reveal of the Batwoman costume, we also got our first look at what Red Hood will look like. You can check out the images below!

Red Hood

The design for the Red Hood costume was created by costume designer Laura Jean Shannon. This will be the first time that the individual Red Hood costume has ever been seen in a live-action production. As you can see it has a very traditional Red Hood look, with the two guns at his side and the Iron Man-like mask that hides his face. Also, of course, the red hood. I can’t wait to see it in live-action.

But Wasn’t Red Hood Killed By The Joker?

What is very interesting is that Red Hood’s motivations and violent attitude come from the horrific experience of being killed by the Joker. Then brought back to life by Ra’s al Ghul. But I don’t feel that his experience so far in Titans really warrants that kind of drastic change in character. Despite that, I’m still looking forward to seeing the Bat gunslinger in action.

Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti. Based on the characters from DC. Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Greg Walker, Sarah Schechter are the executive producers.

Titans was the first DC Universe original series to premiere on the streaming service back in 2018. Now the series is ready to make it’s jump over to HBO Max for season three. Along with Walters returning cast includes Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Conor Leslie, Joshua Orpin, and Damaris Lewis.
