We’ve been gifted with something truly special. A Star Wars film from the wonderful mind of director Taika Waititi. After Thor:Ragnarok made the character much more fun, it wasn’t long before Waititi’s name was being thrown out there for a Star Wars film. Eventually the hopes of moviegeeks everywhere (myself inc;uded) were realized.
While the film is still a few years from release, locations are reportedly being scouted. One such location, the Highlands of Scotland, is said to have a small shoot on the schedule. According to the Daily Record the film will have a three-day shoot this December.

“It’s great that Star Wars have decided to use Scotland’s breathtaking scenery for some of their first production shots. The film is still a few years away thanks to the Covid crisis but it will be very exciting for fans to hear that the ball has started rolling on this highly anticipated movie.

A spokeswoman fpr Screen Scotland had the following to say:
“As we provide a confidential locations service to film and TV productions looking to film in Scotland, we can’t comment on discussions about specific productions until or unless we’re able to.”
Interesting choice. It’s hard to speculate knowing almost nothing about the film. However, the mountains on location will be covered in snow come December. An ice/snow planet still isn’t much to go on. While I would love to get sojme information on the film, I’m also no the least bit worried about Waititi’s final product. If you ask me the guy simply knows what he is doing, He has shown to be more than capable this far anyway.
