The DCU related Barside Buzz this weekend has brought forth some rumored Superman: Legacy leaked plot details. The claims (if true) were shared by ViewerAnon. This leaker has not been as active as they once were, but they used to have a good hit rate back in the day. Superman: Legacy will begin filming relatively soon and release date has been set as June 11, 2025.

‘Superman’s early in his career and isn’t widely known. His big public reveal happens in the Middle East, where terrorists have gotten a hold of Kryptonian tech.’
‘Waller and Sam Lane send in the Authority to investigate – they believe Superman is responsible. Superman learned of the tech in the Fortress of Solitude and hopes it will be the missing puzzle piece to discover where he comes from.’
‘Anyway, the big bad is Brainiac behind everything. As said in the first post, I trust the source but it’s all a game of telephone with info passed ear to ear, so we’ll see how much of this (if anything) pans out. Sounds solid to me though if it’s true.’

This does kinda sound similar to the plot of Black Adam, and that didn’t go well. However, one would hope Gunn has crafted a slightly more engaging story than that.
Equally, if this rumor is just rubbish, then one would hope Gun may debunk it. However, he has never debunked a previous rumor that whilst less detailed matched what we have here. Though, Gunn hasn’t been doing this as much, especially when it comes to supposed story leaks.
