Life in real life is one big comedy for Erin Fogel

As a real-life mother, she used it as an inspiration to create a comedy series with Running Erins in a partly true story and partly fiction that will have audiences relate and laugh out loud with her shenanigans.

Here is the synopsis:

Running Erins is an authentic scripted docu-comedy set in the upper east of New York City. The show displays a diverse array of both seasoned television actors as well as real people who inspired their roles a true hybrid of reality and fiction. The plot is also a blend of Erin’s real life mixed in with added conflict.

The series stars Erin Fogel, Nancy Nagrant, Deborah Rayne, and Guillermo Ivan.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with director-writer-producer-actress Erin Fogel and director Guillermo Ivan on the series’ pilot. We discussed the origination, real-life basis, using seasoned actors and real-life people, and their production company.

Erin Fogel is a filmmaker and actress who made her on-screen debut in 2008 with 27 Dresses as Shari Rabinowitz. She had appearances on a few television series, including Boardwalk Empire, Younger, The Blacklist, Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, and Blue Bloods. On the film side, she was in The Strike, Love Is a Battlefield, and Rumba Love.

Guillermo Ivan is a Mexican-born filmmaker and actor who made his on-screen debut in 1989 with Zapata en Chinameca. He continued in Mexican cinema and television with Keiko en peligro, Two Women, One Road, El Vuelo del Aguila, Sonaras, Casa de los babys, and Lo que la gente cuenta, and Mexican Standoff. He gained international recognition in films such as The Strike and Habana Instant. He played the lead in shows with El Desconocido and Telemundo’s Al Otro Lado del Muro. In 2023, he was featured in the action films As Good As Dead with Michael Jai White and Shrapnel with Jason Patric.

Running Erins makes its pilot series debut at the Dances with Films New York 2024 on Saturday, December 7^th, at 4:30 p.m.
