Fresh off of the extremely successful Avengers: Infinity War and the build up to next year’s Avengers 4, the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, have shown no signs of slowing down when it comes to multitasking other projects. The two have successfully formed their AGBO studio and have solidified a deal with Netflix to shoot their next film in India and Thailand. Additionally, they’ll be bringing a certain “god of thunder” along with them.
Chris Hemsworth will be staring in Dhaka, a film written by Joe Russo and produced by both brothers as well as Mike Larocca for AGBO and Hemsworth and Ben Grayson for Thematic Entertainment. Dhaka is an action film featuring Hemsworth attempting to rescue a kidnapped Indian boy. It is said to be a focus on Hemsworth’s character, battling between his physical bravery and his emotional cowardice.

The film will be directorial debut of Sam Hargrave. Hargrave was originally the stunt double for Chris Evans in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and moved up to fight and stunt coordinator for Captain America: Civil War. Hargrave later handled second unit directing on Avengers: Infinity War and will now have the experience of being in the director’s chair for this project.
No release date has been set yet for the film.
