Sabaa Tahir is an inspiration for young teens since the publication of Ember in the Ashes.
That book made it to the top on the New York Times bestseller’s list in 2015. She followed up with two more sequels with A Torch Against the Night and A Reaper at the Gates.
The first book follows a girl, Laia, who seeks help from a rebellious group to free her brother from prison. The sequels continued her adventure.
Tahir is revered as a young adult novelist currently in the business. She is also a Pakistani-American, who inspired young Muslims with her fantasy imagination.

On the Facebook Watch Series Letters To….., fans were encouraged to write letters to their favorite authors. Two fans were selected for a book discussion, in which Tahir surprised them during their discussion.
In this episode, Tahir discussed her upcoming book A Sky Beyond the Storm, the topic of immigration, politics, and Muslims.
