According to a new report from Murphy’s Multiverse, the Secret Invasion working title is ‘Changeup Productions’. Murphy is an insider I rate at the best of times, but when it comes to working titles, he really is one of the best and most consistent out there.
Many fans will start speculating what Changeup could mean for Secret Invasion and it’s fairly easy to do so. However, I always warn caution with this practice. Quite often the working title of a movie or show has almost nothing to do with the actual project. It can be as simple as something one executive said to another they found funny, or even more obscure than that.
Yet, it’s hard not to think about the things we all assume will happen in Secret Invasion. Primarily, that there will be a secret invasion of Earth by someone. The someone is most likely going to be Skrulls, and not the same group of Skrulls who we know are allies to Earth. Kevin Feige already told fans that this Secret Invasion will be very different from the comic version. However the basic facts laid out above seem to be too solid to change. Talking of change, the idea of characters not really being who they say they are is expected to be a key element of Secret Invasion. With that in mind, ‘Changeup’ could make sense in our heads in a hundred different ways.

It is easy to go down the rabbit hole here and end up with diagrams explaining what this all means. The problem is that the vast majority of the time , this is a task which bears little fruit. There are far more working titles that mean nothing out there compared to those who proved to have some clues. Essentially, it’s just a working title, and means nothing. However it does make it slightly easier to keep a little curious eye on what actually happens under that working title.
Recently we shared evidence that Secret Invasion, aka Changeup Productions was set to begin filming on April 5th. Until then, at best we could be looking at casting news with the odd glimpse of some pre-production work. Secret Invasion has a working title, so what do you think of Changeup Productions?
