Rick Moranis was sucker-punched on the upper west side of New York and is now recovering in the hospital. I know right? What kind of despicable human being would do such a thing? Moranis’ head and hip were injured in the attack. This is just awful. However, it seems par for the course in 2020, and let’s not forget we still have a couple of months to go.

I mean, honestly, can any of you think of any reason where it would be justified to punch Rick Moranis, excuse me, to sucker punch him? Authorities are investigating the assault, but have not identified a suspect yet. Throw the book at whoever did this. I wonder if Moranis was intentionally targeted or was just unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time?

As some of you may know Rick Moranis left his acting career to take care of his wife who was suffering from breast cancer, as well as being there to raise his children. What a wonderful human being, a fact that makes him being assaulted all the more enraging. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

Moranis is probably most famous for his Honey I Shrunk the Kids role, however, my personal favorite character of his is Louis Tully in the Ghostbusters. The next time you meet someone, say, “I am the key master,” if they reply with “I am the gatekeeper,” you know that you can pretty much trust them with your life.
