Seth Green And Matt Seinreich Sell New Animated Fantasy Show To Hulu

Good news for fans of AdultSwim‘s Robot Chicken, as creators Seth Green and Matt Seinreich have sold a pilot of their animated adult comedy, Crossing Swords, to Hulu. The show is set to follow Patrick, a young peasant boy with dreams of becoming a knight. Patrick soon finds himself in the position of squire, but quickly finds out the kingdom is full of corruption, and adhering to his idea of morality isn’t going to be as easy as he once thought.

The show is described as a “premium fantasy soap starring pre-school toys,” that is full of sex, violence and full frontal nudity.

Crossing Swords was created by Robot Chicken executive producer Tom Harvatine and Tom Root. Harvatine, Green and Seinreich are set to executive produce the fantasy series. It appears as if Hulu may be thinking Crossing Swords can be used to compete with Simpson’s creator Matt Groening’s upcoming animated adult series, Disenchanted, which is set to debut in August on Netflix.

I am a long-time Robot Chicken fan and will keep an eye out for this show. The world of kings, queens, and knights should prove to be an excellent playground for the Robot Chicken crew to bring their unique brand of humor to.
