If you have seen the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer, and if you are reading this article I will assume most of you have, then you may have noticed Han Solo isn’t quite the same. He isn’t cynical or snarky, he almost seems optimistic and cheerful. Alden Ehrenreich, who has stepped into the iconic Star Wars role recently spoke on the latest installment of The Star Wars Show and talked about how Han Solo will be portrayed in this film:
“I think you’re meeting him at a time where he’s younger and more of an idealist. He still has kind of a romantic vision or feeling that he’s going to get out of this.”

Young, and perhaps a bit naive to the smuggling world at this point. I, like many others, believe that events in Solo: A Star Wars Story will open Han’s eyes to the world in which he now lives, the underworld of the galaxy far, far away. And by the end fans will at least get a glimpse of a more familiar, Han Solo, as smart-assed and cocky as ever.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25.
