Solo: A Star Wars Story – Edited Version Of The Trailer Replaces Alden Ehrenreich With Harrison Ford

Score another one for the internet! Star Wars fan and Vimeo user Nick Acosta has edited the trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story and replaced Alden Ehrenreich with Harrison Ford. Acosta explained his reasoning behind the video.

“Watching the trailer featuring new actor Alden Ehrenreich in the titular role it’s hard to get used to. I couldn’t help wonder what this movie would look like if you could magically transport a young Harrison Ford to play his iconic character. So using a variety of digital compositing software and some editing tricks I tried to make that happen.”

I thought the video was pretty well made considering the footage that was available to work with, I think Acosta chose the best clips possible to use. This is as close as we will get to new scenes with Chewbacca and the original Han Solo, so enjoy it, folks!  Videos like this are one of the best things about the internet. While some fan-made videos aren’t quite up to par, many of them are, and this video is a fine entry into the fan edit genre.

Solo: A Star Wars Story opens May 25.
