The first official images from the upcoming Netflix series, Space Force, have been released. The series comes from Steve Carell and Greg Daniels, who some of you may recognize from a quint little show on NBC called The Office. Carell will make his return to television as a military general tasked with getting the newest branch of the United States’ armed forces up and running.

Trying to stay as far away from politics as possible, I like the idea of the U.S. having a Space Force. I mean, we can’t have a Star War without first having a Space Force, right? Joining Carell will be John Malkovich, Noah Emmerich, Ben Schwartz, and Lisa Kudrow among others.
Along with the images Netflix set a release date of May 29, 2020.

“A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.”
