Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) First Look Footage

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

On the cusp of the live-action Spider-Man: No Way Home theatrical release in two weeks, Sony Pictures Entertainment already began their hype machine for the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) by releasing the first look at CCXP Worlds this weekend.

It is the anticipated sequel with Miles Morales in the lead as Spider-Man from its surprised successful Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Thanks to that film, it opened the audiences’ anticipation towards other universes and other Spider-Men. Not to mention, it influenced the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home that will include the many villains from previous Spider-Man movies and rumored possibly the appearance of Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire.

The sequel, or at least the first part, will have Shameik Moore returning to voice Miles Morales along with Hailee Steinfeld voicing Gwen Stacy.

Other confirmed voice cast members include Issa Rae as Jessica Drew and Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara.

Here is the official synopsis so far:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

For this animated installment, the directing team includes Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend of Korra), Kemp Powers (Soul), and Justin K. Thompson (Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs, The Emoji Movie). Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham wrote the screenplay.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) is in movie theaters on October 7 next year.
