Star Wars – Fan Switches Up The Titles Of The Saga Films, And It’s Kind Of Awesome

Benioff and Weiss detail their cancelled Star Wars trilogy, plus some Barside Buzz that there's still no script for the Rey sequel.

Are the Star Wars titles accurate descriptions of the events that play out in a particular film? Well, sure, but is it possible that the titles could be improved upon, because while each title does match up with a film in the Skywalker Saga, could they be mismatched? Yes, at least from a certain point of view. Star Wars fan and Twitter User Rob Keyes argues that his pairings of titles and films provide more accurate descriptions.

I mean, he’s not wrong. His rearrangement fits the films as well or better than their official titles. I know it, I just know this will or has likely already started something among Star Wars fans. And I don’t mean that in a bad way, whatsoever. Yes, it’s not inaccurate to label good old Palpy as a Phantom Menace. And technically, as far as we’ve been shown in the films, Luke is the last Jedi at the end of The Empire Strikes Back.

I would be very interested to know what Star Wars creator George Lucas thinks about all this. Somewhere out in the multiverse, these are the official titles to the films of the Star Wars saga. A universe in which Eric Stoltz was never replaced by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future. One where Tom Selleck is Indiana Jones and Will Smith turned down Wild Wild West in favor of starring as Neo in The Matrix.
