This weekend saw a Star Wars rumor about a Ben Solo project being developed at Lucasfilm. The rumor comes from the folks over at Kessell Run Transmission, specifically a tweet by Corey Van Dyke. However, this report was sorta backed up by a supporting tweet from scooper Jordan Maison. Check out the initial special media posts below and then we can discuss this further.
*Cough* Pre-TFA *cough*

So first off, I have to say that this seems a little unlikely if we are talking live-action. I do not see Adam Driver rushing back to play Ben Solo again in more movies, or Disney+ shows. The most likely scenario would be something animated to me, but then it’s not my scoop. Fans are hungry it seems for an animated show that deals with Luke and Ben’s adventures prior to the night Luke considered killing his nephew. However, because fans are hungry for content doesn’t mean it’s coming. Though it does make sense to make content that fans are known to want. So a Ben Solo…something, would be easy to market.

If a project about Ben Solo is being developed, even at the early stages, and it’s set before TFA like Maison says, surely that has to be animated right? Adam Driver isn’t going to be playing a teenage Ben Solo is he? However, there is no mention of animated in either report so who knows? Our own source at Lucasfilm hasn’t given us any hint of this project, yet. However, if this is animated then our source has told us there are multiple projects being developed that they don’t have specific details on. So it is possible, especially if we are talking early development here. But, early development doesn’t always make it to screens?
We do have an update from our source at Lucasfilm, that will probably publish later today so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, what do you think of these rumors of a Ben Solo project being developed at Lucasfilm? Do you buy it, could it be live-action or is the only possibility animated like I guess above? Leave your thoughts below as always.
