Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker – J.J. Abrams Says Fans’ Opinions Have To Be Valued

The Rise Of Skywalker isn’t too far off. In making the film, J.J Abrams had the monumental tasks of making one movie to serve two purposes, being the final chapter in Disney’s sequel trilogy and the Skywalker saga as a whole (Episodes 1-9).

The director recently spoke to Marvelous TV and talked about his appreciation for the fans, and how he can’t wait for us to watch the film. You can check out what he had to say below.

“You just have to be grateful for them, because you don’t want to be working on something no-one cares about. And you have to understand that they’ve got their opinions and, of course, you have to value them. You’re never going to please everyone, you have to know that going in, and just do the best you can. I’m nothing but thankful as someone who considers myself a fan. I can’t wait for them to see the film.”

As Abrams said above, he isn’t going to please everybody, and as I said above he has to close out the trilogy and the saga, nailing one of them is going to be difficult enough, but both? No matter which way it goes, whether I love it, hate it, or something inbetween, it’s going to be interesting to see how a four-decade-long story will end.

My excitement for the film was increased by a Reddit thread of a supposed Rise Of Skywalker leak. won’t mention exactly what it was that increased my excitement but, you can read about in Cam Clark’s article from yesterday. I am referring to the supposed opening scene.
