The Batman Director Matt Reeves Talks Potential Sequels

The Batman Test Screening Descriptions Plus DC Fandome Teaser

It is safe to say The Batman is one of the most anticipated films this year.  Since the first trailer dropped at DCFandome fans have been patiently waiting for its release.  While there was some initial skepticism when Director Matt Reeves announced the casting of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, that skepticism has gone away. The anticipation has gotten fans already speculating of the possibility of multiple movies with Robert Pattinsonas the caped crusader.  It has already been announced that a spin-off show based on Gotham City is in the works but what about sequel movies?

In the most recent issue of Esquire, Reeves talks about the possibility of more films in the works “I’m very proud of it. I felt it was the best version of the story that we could possibly do to justify having another Batman,” he says. “You always have to have a reason, and from the beginning that was the mission for me. It will obviously have a lot to do with how people receive this film,” Reeves says. “But a lot of things are in the works.”

For fans hopeful of a sequel the message from Reeves sounds positive.  It seems like it will just be a matter of time before we get the announcement of another Batman film.  Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for the sequel.
