The world of hardcore motorcycle clubs left television in 2014 when Sons of Anarchy ended. Since then, there has been much talk about a spinoff. While many fans hoped it would be a prequel about the formation of the club, the powers that be went another way and used one of the other clubs as a basis for a new show, The Mayans. The show seems to have been in production forever now, but we finally have a teaser for the upcoming series.

The video shows the Mayans MC riding passed some rose fields, while a Spanish language cover of the Rolling Stone’s “Paint it Black” plays in the background. One aspect of Sons of Anarchy that always stood out to me was the choice of music to accompany the show. I always thought Sons of Anarchy excelled at this, and it appears as if that tradition has carried over into the new Mayans MC show.
The show will follow the Mayans is a post-Jax Teller world. Being a fan of Sons of Anarchy, I will surely be checking out this show. SOA was a really good show, admittedly it was an action filled soap opera, but one that took us into a world (one that was highly exaggerated for the most part) most of us know nothing about. Mayans MC will see if Kurt Sutter can pull off another hit, as his last effort, The Bastard Executioner, only lasted one season.
Are you ready to ride with Sutter again? Let us know in the comments down below!
