The third season of Westworld is vastly approaching and HBO has released the “final” trailer for it. Click above to experience the upcoming, mind-boggling adventure.
Creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan seem to have taken the ever complex and intriguing storyline and expanded on it. What began in a western theme park has evolved into a fight between humanity’s elicit desires and the robotic creations who have become self-aware. Season 2 left off with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) rebuilt and in a future compound, Maeve (Thandie Newton) supposedly dead, and the “man in black” (Ed Harris) at the forge in a post-apocalyptic future. As for who’s actually dead or a host, you’ll have to go back and watch.

In the trailer, we see Dolores alongside new cast member Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, El Camino) as she navigates through the real world while Bernard appears to be back in the original Westworld park. Then there’s Hale, or Host Hale (Tessa Thompson), who seems to be involved with some new robotics. Meanwhile, Maeve is now residing with Vincent Cassel (Ocean’s Twelve, Eastern Promises), who is asking her to murder Dolores. All this while Mr. Black discovers his purpose is to “save the f*$&in’ world.”
Season 3 of Westworld premieres Sunday, March 15 on HBO. For those who need a refresher, seasons 1 and 2 are available for streaming on the HBO Go and HBO Now apps.
