The world continuously is a dangerous place.

In the eight-part series, Trafficked, award-winning journalist Mariana van Zeller explores the complex and violent inner workings of a smuggling network. As she dives deeper and deeper into the criminal underworld, Mariana reveals that the people operating these trafficking rings are often a lot more like us than we realize.

Mariana van Zeller is a Peabody Award-winning journalist and correspondent for the National Geographic Channel and Fusion. Formerly, she was a correspondent for the Vanguard documentary series on the former Current TV. She started her career with SIC, the largest Portuguese private television network at the time.
