If you have Woody Harrelson in your film and you want his character to have hair, it’s basically law that the wig has to be terrible. His wig was terrible in The Hunger Games, it sometime’s okay and sometimes terrible in True Detective, and it made me absolutely insane when I saw him in Venom. Venom itself wasn’t a great movie, but you think they could have at least spared a dime for hair that looked oh-so-slightly logical.
But I’m getting away from the point of this article. Not too long ago, the Venom film hit theaters. The movie itself was met with kind of a lukewarm reception from viewers and fans, but it still managed to make a boatload of money. It probably helped that the end featured a fan-favorite villain in the from of Cletus Kasady — the insane murderer who was portrayed by Woody Harrelson, wearing the previously-mentioned terrible wig.
Fans have been waiting to see how the character would be carried out in the sequel, and now we have our first taste in the form of a set photo from Tom Hardy.

It’s admittedly a bit difficult to tell, but it does look like his hair was cleaned up a tad. Here’s hoping we’ll end up with a solid wig for this movie — one that isn’t so terribly distracting. Also interesting is the blazer/Hawaiian shirt angle they’re going for with this character. Perhaps this is a look of an insane killer who finally got out of prison and is ready to lay back on the beach?
Who am I kidding? Of course, that’s not what he’s going to do. But maybe he just likes the idea of wearing a laid-back shirt. Clearly, if I’m talking about his shirt, I think it’s proof that I’ve spent too much time on this virtually-clueless photo.
