Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s first trailer has lit up the internet and that’s probably partly due to the amount of Easter eggs crammed into the trailer which become evident upon further views. I am still noticing a few things even now and I have watched the trailer on slow motion more times than I care to mention at this point.

I think at first I thought I was watching a very safe and straightforward trailer that basically told me the entire plot of the movie. However, as I see more, I think there are a lot of layers to this movie that we have merely glimpsed at this point. This pleases me as I hate trailers that show me the entire plot of a movie before seeing it, Aquaman I am looking at you.
One of the things we have no idea about is where and how Michael Keaton will show up as Adrian Toomes again in the Spidey sequel. Nothing official has really been said about Keaton’s involvement, but if we go by some of the early information, one of the first names attached to this sequel was Michael Keaton. It could be a two-minute cameo, it could be something more substantial, we just don’t know at this point. What is interesting is that on Friday Deadline listed not only Keaton, but Laura Harrier as returning in her role of Liz Allen.
This was the first time anyone (far as we know) has heard that Harrier was returning in any way to the sequel. It seems to not make much sense as in Homecoming both Liz and her Mother were leaving for Oregon after her father was imprisoned for his turn as the thieving Vulture. It also looks from the trailers as though a romance is developing between Peter and Zendaya’s Michelle aka ‘MJ’. So one wonders what possible reason there could be for a return of Harrier in this movie. Could it involve something to do with her father and whatever his role may be? Your guess is as good as ours at this point.
It is also possible that Harrier was listed as a mistake with so many of the Homecoming cast returning for this movie, but we think that’s less likely at this point and this story is being picked up by other outlets already. It’s, therefore, our duty to make sure we share this news with our readership even though we cannot specifically say it’s a definite at this point.
Do you think Liz Allen will return in Spider-Man: Far From Home and if so what role will she fill in the story? Sound off in the usual place below, we want to hear what you think as always.
