Without a doubt, current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch (real name Rebecca Quinn but we don’t talk about that because… KAYFABE!!) has been the face of the women’s division for a couple of years. Some could even argue that she was even more popular than even the men. So much so that a little over a year ago she was part of the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania 35 along with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. So where does Lynch go from here?

Well there are many other superstars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Dave Bautista, and recently John Cena who have used their wrestling popularity to catapult their acting careers. It’s no surprise that Lynch is trying to do the same. She will be making an appearance on the premiere of Showtime’s Billions, but it looks like there may be something bigger in her future.

According to Kris Tapley, host of the Netflix podcast The Call Sheet said on Twitter that Lynch is in an upcoming Marvel film. At the moment there is no confirmation about her appearing in any Marvel film. But in an interview with TMZ she had talked about an upcoming role that she couldn’t talk about. Looking at the upcoming slate she could be appearing in Black Widow, Shang-Chi, or the Legends of the Ten Rings or even the Eternals. Or what if it’s Sony’s Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage.

This could be the tip of the iceberg for Lynch as in the same interview with TMZ she mentioned how helpful Johnson has been with. He had even helped her with helping her contact her current agent. Cena has also been there for her mentoring her and checking up on her projects. She believes that they are just looking to see the next generation of superstars make it to their level.

Becky Lynch aka The Man is one of my current favorite wrestlers on WWE. Although it would be a shame to see her less in the ring, it would be great to see her evolve into a movie star. Oh so many years ago I could not have seen Bautista as such a big movie star. Yet in the past few years, we have seen him in a couple of big Marvel Studios films and even a James Bond film.
