The question here is simple, but at the same time somewhat over the top. Could Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man 4 shoot back to back or at the same time? Now, I am not even calling this Barside Buzz, because I have no source for this rumor. Instead it’s pure speculation I’ve seen from fellow Journo’s and fans.
A conversation seemed to begin online and catch fire as speculation ramped up for Spider-Man 3. First we have to say that officially, as far as we know, Marvel can only make one solo Spider-Man movie under the current deal with Sony. Yet, there are some vague sourced rumors that a Spider-Man 4 may have been agreed in secret. As yet we have not reported these rumors because, there seemed no real solid claims. However fans, and some fellow outlets have begun to wonder if there is something more here.
How many cameo’s and big characters are supposed to show up in in Spider-Man 3? A lot of those rumors are really solid, or partially confirmed already. So the fan base begins to wonder whether Spider-Man 3 could actually be a two-part movie that shoots back to back. This seems based on some rumors saying character A is in Spider-Man 3, and others saying character A might be set up for a Spider-Man 4, or, that one of the other previous Peter Parkers will star in a fourth movie under Sony Pictures? Again, nothing solid or tangible here is there?

Honestly, it’s completely sketchy to jump to this Spider-Man 4 thing. Yet, have listened to some of the fan theories I would not rule it out. I’m guessing that what will happen is that this buzz will reach some of the insiders with Marvel connections, who will ask questions of those connections. I’m sure we could get this all out to bed if someone gets the info that there is definitely no confirmed shoot date for Spider-Man 4. That’s what I expect to happen, I think we are looking at fans making evidence fit their theories, rather than a theory fitting the evidence. But you never know and since others are discussing it, I thought I’d put it out there.
Remember, LRM currently has no Marvel source (yet), so this is not us making any claims. Instead, I am merely informing readers of an unsubstantiated buzz that is doing the rounds online. What do you think, is it possible Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man 4 will be made together? Or, is this all just wishful thinking on fans part?
