Directors Edgar Wright And Chris Miller Suggest James Gunn For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

As far as Marvel Studios and its fans are concerned, all attention is focused on the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. After Infinity War wowed audiences by being far better than it had any business being (have you ever been slapped in the face by a movie, but in a good way?), Endgame will conclude the story Marvel has been building toward all this time.

While Marvel is riding high on the success the Avengers among their other properties, they do have a somewhat pressing matter that remains unresolved, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is still stuck in some sort of alternate universe, it may even be trapped in the Soul World. As Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige and his crew continue their search for a replacement for James Gunn, fellow directors Edgar Wright (Baby Driver) and Chris Miller (Lego Movie) tried to put in a good word for their colleague in a response to a fan on Twitter which you can check out below.

Disney hasn’t really shown any signs of rehiring Gunn, and likely isn’t going to do so. Gunn is now in the employ of DC and will bring forth a sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad. I would much rather have Gunn reboot Suicide Squad from scratch, I thought the film was awful. Adam McKay is one of the directors rumored to be stepping in to replace Gunn on Guardians 3. Honestly, I wouldn’t hate that, I actually think he would fit quite well, although, Taika Waititi may be the best fit, and would be my first choice.

Who would be your choice to replace James Gunn as the Guardians 3 director? Let us kow in the comments down below!
