We know that both Disney parks will be getting a Star Wars land called Galaxy’s Edge next year, this new project has nerds around the galaxy buzzing with excitement. Well, chances are if you love Star Wars, you also love Indiana Jones. So the following news may just make your head explode. According to Orlando Weekly Disney may be considering theidea of bringing an Indiana Jones land to the Hollywood park
“Multiple attractions would be featured in the new land, likely including a signature E-ticket style attraction… …the signature attraction for the Indy mini-land will be an indoor family attraction of some type that will use a previously realized ride system in a new way. Few details on the specifics of this ride have been shared by insiders, but it’s thought that this ride will compete with the two Star Wars rides as one of the park’s flagship attractions. As with Animal Kingdom’s plan, the DHS one does seem to include an outdoor roller coaster attraction. Both Disneyland Paris and Tokyo DisneySea have Intamin versions of the Pinfari TL-59 looping coasters.”
Orlando Weekly also stated that if this idea moves forward the location of the new attraction would likely be where the Indiana Jones stunt show has taken place for years, a stunt show that has been rumored to to be on it’s way out for some time now.
This makes me wonder if the Disney Parks will someday consist of several smaller parks themed after their various properties, we all know they no shortage of them, and a buttload of money to help make that happen. Think about visiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe Land, or the wonderful worlds they could create based on the Pixar films alone.
Well, now I’m going to have to find my way out the Disney Parks once this all gets put into place. As if a land dedicated to Star Wars isn’t motivation enough, throw in Indiana Jones and the memories of my childhood would just be too much to resist, nostalgia overload.
