Everyone grieves in their own way. For some, it’s just easier to attempt to run away from their emotions and attempt to start over. Unfortunately, the problem is that those feelings will end up following you and may even put you in danger. How? Your emotional state could attract evil spirits. Ones that are even harder to understand when you are in a supposed peaceful rural town. This is what happens to Liz, who is trying to get over the trauma of losing her husband in the horror film, The Parish.
Here is the synopsis for The Parish:
A widow haunted by the gruesome death of her husband uproots her daughter and moves them to a peaceful rural town. Then the real nightmares begin when she and her daughter stumble upon a long-buried scandal. They team up with the town’s priest after encountering a creepy young boy, a hostile janitor and a blood-thirsty nun who will stop at nothing to protect the deadly secrets of The Parish.
Ahead of its release LRM Online had the opportunity to talk with a star of The Parish, Bill Oberst Jr. He is no stranger to horror films or characters. As he has starred in films and shows like The Devil’s Rejects, Three from Hell, Scream Queens, and Criminal Minds. So what frightening character does Oberst Jr. portray in The Parish? Well, actually… a priest. One who can actually empathize with Liz and is looking to help her get rid of what’s haunting her.
